A presentation for the City Council and public will be conducted on September 27, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of Hailey City Hall. The presentation will be a brief explanation of the city's steps to create a Local Energy Assurance Plan (LEAP) to help ensure better continuity of government services during times of energy interruptions. A description of the framework that is currently under development by the 43 cities and the U.S. Department of Energy/National Energy Technology Laboratory to create local government energy assurance plans will be presented in an effort to increase awareness and to share information with other jurisdictions.
